Jaeriah Tay

Front-end Engineer & UI Designer

Ciao, I'm Jaeriah, a Front-end Engineer & UI Designer currently building 💻 and designing 🖌️ product at Chec/Commerce.js, powered by at least 4 espresso shots a day ☕ . Coming from a diverse career journey, I've never felt more at home in tech. I spend most of my days implementing UI features, building integrations in various frameworks, writing documentations and tutorials, and designing UI. I mainly work with JavaScript using VueJS and React and have been interested in tinkering with data visualization tools! Check out some of my projects on my GitHub profile!

In the last couple years, I have also been a community leader at Frontend Foxes 🦊, contributing to the school curriculum. It is a non-profit international organization aiming to provide diversity in the industry. We run a bootcamp, online events, meetups, and workshops for people who identify as women to learn front-end technologies. We are working on releasing a podcast 🎙️ where I will be one of the hosts chatting all things tech and developer communities.

Away from pushing pixels at work, I enjoy spending time in nature with family, biking 🚴‍, engaging with the developer community 💬, traveling 🗺️, and learning the violin. I speak three languages 🇨🇦🇸🇬🇮🇹 but realistically, I call myself a try-lingual.
