About two months ago, I set out to find an organization that aligns with my values and career goals. I had 23 application submissions, a total of 21 interviews, 7 simultaneous interview processes, 4 take-home assignments, 2 live-coding rounds, multiple rejections and then down to 3 offers.
I had the most wonderful experience with each company I was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity. It was an incredibly difficult decision in the end but I ultimately accepted an offer at an organization with a vision that I completely believe in. What truly sealed the deal were the people I met along the way, they were all so genuine, encouraging, profoundly talented, and just seemed like amazing and standout people to work with.
I am beyond thrilled to be starting as a Software Engineer at this new company after being encouraged to take 3 weeks off to decompress from the interview processes. I owe all the thanks to my referrer, my recruiter for the guidance and support throughout the process, the leadership team I’ve met along the way, and everyone that was part of the decision-making!
I cannot wait to start contributing to helping software companies accelerate revenue through cloud marketplaces in a completely new space using such an innovate approach. This organization's steady trajectory growth is due to its focus on customers, employees’ well-beings, preserving a diverse workforce and continued innovation to solve real-world problems - and I am super proud to be a part of this journey!
An upcoming blog is in the works sharing more details on my interviewing processes and the workflows I used to prepare for them!
